Merry Berries on A Vintage Journey

Hello all, I hope you're enjoying a peaceful and joyful festive season.  This is one of my favourite times - when the major chaos is out of the way, and now the 12 Days can unfold in cosy calm with a good book, a crackling fire, and the odd Whisky Mac!

I'm unpacking my bags at Terminal 4 of Destination Inspiration today at A Vintage Journey.  It was a bit of a shock to the system as the colour I had to use was Festive Berries... what, red?  But once I worked out I could use it to make some actual festive berries, I felt a bit merrier.

I hope you'll be able to hop over to A Vintage Journey and see what I got up to with the rest of what was in my luggage.  It's your chance to see where those little birds came from who were perched in my Snowflake ATC the other day!

For now I'll wish you a continuing merry Yuletide, and see you at New Year!

On the motionless branches of some trees, berries hung like clusters of coral beads, as in those fabled orchards where the fruits were jewels...
From Life and Adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit by Charles Dickens

Love the bit of Dickens--Christmas would never be the same without him as a part of it.

Love your festive berries and brave of you to use the red. I like the way you have tied in the red berries with the red at the bottom of the project.

Love Chrissie xx

Hope you are enjoying the Dickensian rendering from the BBC - we switched on to it and are thoroughly enjoying what we have seen so far.
Now I need to hop along to see what this holly and berries is all about.
All the best for 3016
Hugs, Neet xx

Just hopped across and seen the finished work - absolutely delightful - and I love your use of red - I always think it looks best used minimally as an accent colour, and I think you've used it perfectly here!

A wonderful wintery ATC Alison using the contents of the luggage bag. A clever way of extreme masking using the punches . Really love the scene you have created. The dark brown tones of the inking, stamping and calico parts draw the eye in perfectly to admire the beautiful wintery sky and you chatty robin redbreasts.
Wishing you a very Happy healthy New Year Alison x

I've just spent the past few minutes perusing the missed posts and now I can say that 1) I'm curious about Whisky Mac and 2)I'm so happy I have the entire day to myself to play in the craft room because I am completely inspired. Your latest makes are as whimsical, adventurous and creative as I knew they would be.
Hope you're enjoying some down time!
hugs,
Lisa x

Ah... the Whisky Mac - part whisky, part ginger wine (preferably Stone's Ginger Wine, and Jameson's if pressed on the whisky... a blend is fine - it'd be a waste of a single malt!), ice to taste. Highly recommended for a wintry day xx
