Meadow Meditation

Hello all and welcome!  I'm inviting you for another walk in the meadows...  As promised in my Meadow Medley at the beginning of the month, I'm over at Mini Album Makers today with a tutorial sharing some of the how-to details from that project, but as part of a whole new handmade book.

The book I've created is a partner piece to the Meadow Medley, and uses some of the same motifs and techniques.  However, the basic structure is something new... I'm sharing a really easy way to make a book, so that you get to focus on the artistic side of things.

So do hop over to Mini Album Makers for another meditative meadow medley - this time with some more information about how it all came together.

In a meadow full of flowers, you cannot walk through and breathe those smells and see all those colours and remain angry.  We have to support the beauty, the poetry of life.

Another new gorgeous book, my dearest Alison!
Off to see it in details of course, but also its structure as you say it is easy to do! I'm very curious... It is always interesting to learn new or easy ways to create minibooks, so that we can more focus on the pages inside indeed as the most important part for us).
And oh, thank you SO MUCH for your last words on my blog... xxxx

Amazingly stunning it is - oh I love the pages, an d as written over there, they makes me imagine, fairy tales and dreamy worlds.
Stunning results with the gelli plate and sprays-
I always thought it was not allowed to use other than acrylic paints on the plates , but maybe I am wrong .
Thank you Alison, for yet other gorgeous minutes in your company .
Dorthe xoxo

This is a beauty Alison and what a great way to make a book. The 6x6 gelli plate gives you a perfect start to each page, and they look fabulous with the inks. Have a very happy weekend, Sue xx

Not enough words to express how amazing this is. Loved all of the incredible details. And ... I actually think I could probably make a mini album using this construction technique. Never thought I would hear myself say that. I am blown away by the art on the inside. The idea of having facing pages with the first and second printing background was brilliant (I'm awed by your use of a Gelli Plate.) The pages with Lyn Brown's grass stems are my absolute favorites. They work so wonderfully with the second printing backgrounds. I can't even tell you why I like them; it's just the way they make me feel. I am floored by the paint doubles though. That's just an incredible effect. What makes this an amazing piece of art is truly the journey of exploration and creativity. Your favorite color palette is perfect here. Oh ... and those Distress Crayons on the cover took something that was already beautiful and put it over the top. WOW! ME
