Nature Assemblage

Hello all!  I'm delighted to be offering up some inspiration over at the PaperArtsy blog today for this fortnight's Assemblage theme.  The definitions I read spoke about Assemblage as essentially being three-dimensional collage - 3D objects projecting out from the substrate - and from the first moment of reading that, the idea for these Lynne Perrella houses popped into my head.

As you'll know from my sample-making earlier in the year, I fell head over heels in love with Lynne's latest exquisite releases, and the image I've used is probably my overall favourite from the new sets... and just from looking at her, it was clear what sort of 3D objects she would be gathering around her.  I hope you'll be able to hop over and check out her story, and I hope you're all having a great week.

Your deepest roots are in nature. No matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of life you lead, you remain irrevocably linked with the rest of creation.

I love your creation, Alison, both the composition of course, and the dramatic story of this lady, enclosed in her house but seeking for freedom in nature... Clever how you combined both of these concepts in a unique canvas, so deeply! wow!

This looks so fantastic Alison, love the nature components you used, and the sepia tones, -I will see you there.
Thankyou for your loving words, on my blog, it was a huge shock for me being asked by Laura, and I feel so proud, and only hope I can return her trust in creating lovely things, using her own product line !! xoxo

Lovely and "fresh" looking. The story along with this work of art is great. Wanted to go and help her escape to the world outside of her fathers estate.
Very good job, love all the bits and bobs :)

I love the Vintage look of this eclectic collection of 3D items canvas. I am particularly inspired by your tag background, painted, stamped, stencilled and shaded. It looks lovely as is without need for further embellishments or colours. Time allowing I may well use that idea!

Oh my goodness, the layered tag background is absolutely fabulous as a backdrop on your canvas. I have that lovely PaperArtsy stamp set and have yet to have a play with it. The images look so good on the little buildings. Alison, you are such an inspiration, thank you for sharing your work.

Lord, have Mercy, Alison! This canvas is captivating! Your backgroudn is amazing, and all of your assemblage pieces work so perfectly, and I especially love reading the story that inspired this work of art! Now I know what to do with that box of tags! Ha! Ha! Sending hugs and apologies for being so late. I've had episodes of extremely slow loading on my computer, so I had thrown up my hands in frustration. But I have seen this post, just couldn't get over to see the details.
