Wintry Woods

Hello all, long time no see!  Apologies, I just don't seem to be able to get my act together.  So in the hopes of kicking myself back into blogging action, I'm going to do some very quick posts, just sharing some of the tag backgrounds I've been making.

That's really all I've been doing craft-wise - backgrounds seem to be as far as I get at the moment.  There are too many other things needing my time and energy.  But I am enjoying the backgrounds themselves, and that's really the point, isn't it... to enjoy oneself?

So just a few photos for you of the first pair - lots of lovely inky watery splotches - but I shan't keep you long!

So, if I ever get around to adding anything to these, you'll see them again, but for now the Chipped Sapphire/Stormy Sky combination is enough to keep me happy.  (I think there's just a hint of Wilted Violet in there too.)  I've always loved those Tim Holtz trees, and they layer up beautifully to create a wintry forest to go wandering in.  If you want to see the snowy landscape which is inspiring me at the moment, drop in to see my Bohemian home on Instagram.

I'll try to do better with blogging and visiting (and with crafting too)... it's all a bit of a balancing act at present, but I do hope you're all doing okay.  Stay safe, stay well, stay creative, and I'll see you again soon.

Go to the winter woods: listen there, look, watch, and "the dead months" will give you a subtler secret than any you have yet found in the forest.

These looks so much like a snowy woods scene. The sky takes on that blue grey color and the snow is heavy. I really love these. I like that you didn't add people too. Hope things settle down for you soon. Hugs-Erika

These made me feel cold when I saw the snow covered trees in the forest. They are truly lovely tags, just as they are, but I'm sure you will eventually add to them. So glad to see you posting. I'm not on Instagram, so can't visit your home.

Beautiful tags, gorgeous colours and lovely and wintry. I cannot think of anything you could do to them more unless you have some of your lovely words you could put on them.
Off to see your Bohemian home now. Hope you are happy.
Hugs, Neet xx

Delightful tags, and clearly inspired by your new environment! The path inward to the forest inspires the imagination with stories... perfect for winter dreaming. Hope everything, though busy, is evolving smoothly - and happy that you make time for a bit of fun! xx Lynn

This brings to mind the snowy forests near my chalet in France- I must say that I am really missing being able to get there with all the COVID carry-on. At least looking at these beautiful tags make me feel closer!

I LOVE these!!!
I may have gone to the Emerald Coast to get away from the snow, but I do miss the excuse to cuddle up with hot cocoa & vegetate. This is EXACTLY the look that gives us a peaceful feeling in the woods!

Two beautiful tags and backgrounds Alison.. I also love these fire trees by Tim Holtz, as well as the colours you use.
And your photos on IG are just wonderful! Thank you for sharing. I don't know why, I didn't see the last ones...
Happy white and blue Sunday, sending you hugs and love.

I love the understated nearly monochrome look of those. If this was a card I wouldn't add a thing, except perhaps, a sentiment. I also have been uninspired to start anything creative, it's this extended lockdown that has finally caught up with me! x

Don't feel bad for taking time to settle in, you need it. We will be here when you are all ready to roll. LOVE these backgrounds though, hard to believe you've had time.
