The Lighter Side of Journalling

Hello all... me again.  Yes, I know it's not exactly very long since the new Vintage Journey challenge kicked off (Go West, Young Man, if you haven't already!), but it's sneak peek time already.

I'm over at The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog today with an altogether brighter bit of art journalling.  It's been very wintry on the journalling front here at Words and Pictures, but this one is a slightly different kettle of fish...

... though if you were to do compare and contrast, you'd find a lot of the same motifs cropping up - crackle, circles, blues, browns, book pages - you know the score!  Anyway, I hope that's enough to tempt you over to Artistic Stamper to take a look.  I always love to hear what you think.

Hoping to be able to do some hopping round myself this weekend, so I'll see you soon, either here or elsewhere in Craftyblogland.  Happy Crafting all!

There is a crack in everything.
That's how the light gets in.

Hope you got the reply - here it is again, just in case! No, not a die, but metal filigree leaves - they're around on ebay or from places like Creative Expressions here in the UK xx

It is a fabulous page! The colours you have used are getting me thinking about walking in Spring woods! You have also sorted a dilemma for me - I always thought that 'journalling' had two 'l's but thought I must have got it wrong - thanks for the Alan Partridge "Ah Ha" moment!!! Hugs, Chrisx

Dear Alison, it seems ages that I have dedicated a written word to you... I have not lost you, by no means, as you are fixed on my blog-list... It just seems sometimes that it is difficult to find words that have not yet been used. As always, finding your art in its many different facets, I feel awe, astonishment, and inspiration in the beauty of your complete work as well as in its tiniest detail... But impressions are one thing, the expression of them seems dull and inadequate sometimes... Believe me, even if I do not always comment, I am a faithful follower of your artistic movement!
And today, too, when I visited you to easen my heavy heart a little bit after the horrible incidents in Paris, I was not disappointed. It is not that I close my eyes against the darkness in the world, it is the need to find the balance. That's why I search for beauty of which plenty can be found here. I have had my own way of processing the events, in case you are interested: http://vintagesavonette.blogspot.de/2015/01/feder-undgegen-stahl-random-acts-of.html
Thank you for your inspiration, dear Alison! See you soon!
