I'm travelling into a new way of working, a new country, a new language, and a new hobby which I'm passionate about. Come with me for some of the journey...

WOYWW 167

Hello hoppers...  It's Wednesday, and time to get nosy!  Join the party at the Stamping Ground where our generous hostess Julia Dunnit is assembling her weekly mega-bloghop of crafty workdesks.  So here's What's On My Workdesk this Wednesday... (Oh, and if you'd like to see the results of last week's Wedding preparation sneak peeks, then have a look here.)

Lots of bits and pieces ready to be assembled into cards here... a multiple commission, so I won't go in for any close-ups just in case the intended recipients drop in for a look!

You can see my lovely little shelf set from Ikea, cream metal with a nice lacy pattern in holes on the shelves.  They're actually intended as storage assistants - shelf dividers to go inside cupboards to provide additional space.  Just the right size for all the little bottles!

Looking in the other direction, you can see - next to my Converse shoe box (holding small glues, embossing powders, Re-Inkers, Glossy Accents) - the wood-mounted stamp I used for my One Layer cards Guest Design slot at Top Tip Tuesday this week.

Next to that, slightly hidden, are two cards I absolutely love - a postcard of William Blake's "I want, I want" drawing, and a card from my wonderful friend Lorna which she sent at the point I was about to go freelance. I loved it so much, I bought the bookmark to match!

I find them both hugely inspirational, so just thought I would share them with any visitors today.

Thank you so much for stopping by, whether you've come on a WOYWW trawl or not - I'm really glad you came.  I'm off to the Stamping Ground to slake my apparently incurable thirst for looking at other people's craft spaces...

You do such beautiful work (am still blown away by that wedding)and you are so good at shabby chic that I am sure it is spilling over into your room. As I unfurled the blogpost today I kept thinking "shabby chic" with every picture. If that is your inspiration (your room) I need a quick makeover of mine.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet #21 xx

Don’t you just love IKIA’s storage solutions!
Those shelves are absolutely perfect for all your paints and glimmer mists but it looks like it’s almost fall already so you’ll have to go get another one.

Love the card and bookmark too, I can see why you were inspired by them.
Happy Crafting!
