Salty Watercolour Words

Hi all!  I know it's been unusually quiet here at Words and Pictures - my other creative life (Shakespeare/words/theatre) has been eating my time and energy.

Tonight, I've just got a sneak peek for you to tempt you over to PaperArtsy where I'm sharing some inspiration for this fortnight's Watercolours theme.  Happily, I was able to fit in making this project before I set off for New York... otherwise I'd have been a no-show this evening, I fear!

I've been playing with salty watercolours and some of my PaperArtsy
Eclectica³ Alison Bomber quote stamps - old and new - to create bookmarks which might be more tempting to read than the book you're using them for!

I hope you'll have time to hop over to PaperArtsy and see what I've been up to.  Happy Crafting all!

The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea.

I love watercolours too... And granulation (some of that later today!), I even have a bottle of Granulating medium from Winsor & Newton to enhance the effect. The salt does gorgeous things too, in these bookmarks!

What a lovely idea to showcase those lovely quotes. I played with salt on watercolours too, the effect is really good isn't it. I really like your bookmarks, I think I need to invest in some decent quality watercolours to get better results. Great inspiration Alison x

So many delightful quotes, the french ones I'm familiar with from my french education lol - it's still nice to see them in English occasionally!

The colours are ones that I connect immediately with you and knowing that that there will be plenty to absorb it's taken me a few days to get the time to come and give the post the attention it deserves.

These are absolutely gorgeous Alison I agree the granulations are stunning especially with the salt added and I love the way you embossed in two colours according to the background - these would be perfect for any book lover. Hope all is going well in NY. xxx
