Spring Lovers
Hello everyone, and a warm welcome to Words and Pictures on yet another chilly grey day. I've another sneak peek for you... sorry, I seem to be constantly sending you elsewhere at the moment!
I'm over at Calico Crafts again today with a project which has a little touch of Spring and a little touch of Shakespeare... and I rather like this one!
If you have time to pop over and take a look, that would be wonderful.
And just in case you missed the excitement of the latest PaperArtsy post (blog timing meant it was only here for a brief moment), why not take a look at some of my samples made with the new Lynne Perrella stamp release? Yup, new Lynne Perrella stamps, right here at Words and Pictures - very excited!!
"Is the Spring coming?" he said. "What is it like?"...
"It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine..."
From The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

ReplyDeleteAlison it's beautiful as usual. A piece that even more so wishes spring would hurry up and get here and hopefully see an end to this shocking weather, here's hoping.

This is gorgeous Alison, I always love crackling and the wire was definitely worth the re-ravelling lol xx
ReplyDeleteSpring! Ever hopeful! Seems winter has been particularly severe lots of places. Hope your flooding stops! A very pretty hanging, love the crackle and the driftwood, especially. A lovely quote, too.
ReplyDeleteAlso love the Shakespeare quote over on the Calico site.
ReplyDeletestunning work Alison - so beautiful xx

ReplyDeleteHave been over Alison and it is very beautiful. Have a lovely weekend. Nicola x
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Love how you've used these products. The un- and re-ravelling is so worth it. (Of course "re-ravelled" is a word! It's in my lexicon :) Very existentialistic argument there.) I adore the ruffle rose. I'm usually don't use flowers in my projects, but I just might start doing so now. Great idea putting gesso on the rose. And I just had to smile at the Bard. Great make Alison!! -- Mary Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteA beautiful hanging as usual Alison, love the crackle, so perfect with all the added rustic elements.
ReplyDeleteAvril xx
Totally beautiful and so very you! Anne x

ReplyDeleteHi Alison
ReplyDeleteI wanted to stop by and say thanks for the little note on my blog. I was so nervous about how I would feel and be when Luke was born, I have had three miscarriages, and there is still so much pain about that - I was so worried that I wouldnt be able to muster up appropriate enthusiasm or love for my nephew because of my own sense of failure or inadequacy. When Luke was born though - I was surprised at the overwhelming love and relief I felt the very moment my baby brother sent me a picture of his sweet little face. Now I cant stop gushing about my nephew - isnt it amazing how love transcends even the worst parts of you? Thank you again for stopping by and also this piece of yours is AWESOME!!!
I popped over and left you some love pretty lady. Beautiful make - one of my favorites for sure. Now
ReplyDeleteAlison - to leave two comments on one make is more than my heart can stand - I am so far behind as it is. Now where is my cane?
