Hello all! I've been busy playing (or laying?!) with eggs over at PaperArtsy for this fortnight's colour challenge, A Box of Eggs. The idea was to create projects using some of the gorgeous new paint colours designed by Courtney Franich (a.k.a. Cork, who is also Miss PaperArtsy) which include some beautiful pastels and neutrals, as well as darker tones to pair with them. Obviously these colours could take you anywhere, but from the moment I saw the title A Box of Eggs, my mind became fixated on it...
I've found it's best not to argue with my mind once it gets an idea, so that's exactly what you'll find if you hop over to PaperArtsy - not just one, but two boxes of eggs. Yes, okay, it's possible my brain's a little scrambled. But go on, off you go, best get cracking or you'll miss the fun... !!
A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.

I just popped over from the PA blog and I loved this project! It's the speckles on the eggs that did it for me and I love the stamps you used on the boxes too.

I totally thought these were real, and I was like 'what?'...lol...then I hopped over to see. You nailed them, and love the wrap around cover! Wonderful!
Love your eggs and the cute boxes Alison..I love the colours and speckles, and you could play some good pranks with these..lol..My Brother had chickens and they laid blue green eggs and my husband at the time was so yucked by it all, how can you eat a blue egg!!..[ blue egg]..I told him it was normal inside and tasted gorgeous as they were so fresh..anyway I cooked him some eggs for lunch one day and did not use his browns eggs, but the blue/green were on the menue and he ate them without a word [or knowledge of them..]mind over matter.
These are delightful Alison, and even if the paints weren't such beautiful delicate colours I would buy them for the names alone! I love what you've done with the boxes too - so gorgeous - and I'm glad you followed your instincts, your imagination seems never to be wrong! Diana x
Such a fun project Alison, I love those plastic eggs, used to use them with my preschool children every Easter, they really had fun getting messy painting them. Those colours are just perfect, such a clever make. Thank you for sharing Creative wishes Tracey x

The chalk paint has such wonderful consistency and color; the eggs are believably real~ Great mottling : ) I love love the packaging (inside and out) and you quite nailed it Alison!
