Hello all! A quick one tonight, as I'll be back in the morning... Just a sneak peek to try to tempt you over to the Calico Craft Parts blog where I've been playing with some cogs.
There's a weathered and worn look to my Steampunk ATCs which I rather like. I hope you'll have time to hop over and check them out. I'll love you and leave you for now but, as I said, I'm going to be back before you know it. Happy February everybody!
Colours must fit together as pieces in a puzzle or cogs in a wheel.
Hans Hofmann
To keep every cog and wheel is the first precaution of intelligent tinkering.
Aldo Leopold
If you don't mind going over to Calico to see the full project, I'd love to enter these...
In the ATC Challenge at That's Crafty Challenge Blog
And at Sandee and amelie's Steampunk Challenges, where it's Anything Goes - Steampunk/Industrial
And at Love to Create they're playing the usual Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes, so I'd love to play there too
And at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo they are looking for Masculine Projects - I hope with all the cogs and gears, these will fit
Happy February Alison! off to check this out now.

Fabulous! That crackle! I love all the little sparks of colour in it. Reminds me of the outside of an oyster shell a bit. Pretty beaten up with just hints of the beautiful Mother of Pearl you will find on the inside. Lx
ReplyDeleteThat weathered and cracked look! I'd be afraid to handle them if I didn't know they were sealed so well.
ReplyDeleteAlison these ATC's are brilliant I loved all the process you have used and the final pieces look amazing. x

Maybe it's me, but the way you've created these ATC's and the colors and background textures you chose, it's like a 'modernistic mechanical version' of a world map. The colors blend like land and sea together. I think it's FANTASTIC!!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
