Belated Best of 2014 - yes, 2014!!

I've just discovered that I never allowed 2014 to have a moment in the sun celebrating some of my favourite creations.  I usually do a post each January reflecting on the creative journey, but somehow I forgot about it in January 2015, and I feel the need to fill in the gap.  So here's a quick look at some of my 2014 creations... feel free to ignore my perfectionist need for completeness!  (I'm giving the post a quick outing here, and then scheduling it for where it ought to go time-wise, so you may never see it in any case.)

Anyway, here's some time-travel favouritism for you...

I haven't included the dollshouses, though I'd have to say they're amongst my proudest moments in 2014, or indeed at all.  You can find them on the Dollshouses tab at the top of the page if you're curious.  And there are no Tim tags, or things made on workshops, or things which made their appearance elsewhere for DT or guest designer duties.  There are still projects left from 2014 which may well make catch up appearances here on the blog while I'm travelling away from my craft desk this (2016) year, so you'll probably get to see some of them again.

For now, I'm going to leap forwards again in time from poor forgotten 2014, next up will be a review of 2015, and here's hoping 2016 will be kind to us all!

The advantage of a bad memory is that one enjoys several times the same good things for the first time.

  1. Oh oh oh Alison - what a treat. So very very glad you revisited 2014 and didn't leave it out afterall!!! These are all beautiful. You have such a unique and lovely "style". I was trying to figure out which was my favorites. I spent the most time looking at "one day I'll fly away"... I think it might be at the top of my favs. I'm not very "girlie" but your Parfumerie collection is soooo gorgeous and wow - looks like a lot of work too! And because I am always drawn to orange type colors... I have to say "Dream Play Grow" is at the top too!! This was just a wonderful way to end my day. Thanks bunches and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Hugs. j.

  24. 'One day I'll fly away' is maybe my favourite... but all is SO beautiful!!!
Great retrospective and choice Alison, though I'm quite sure I would have loved some other remaining projects not featured today. I would love finding the time to do the same on my blog!.. but time is missing so much, I never find the time to do it, sadly! :(

  25. Wonderful review, Alison..... I am inspired all over again by your fabulous work in so many different takes and styles. Winter Growth is my fondest, as I discovered Smalt Hue there, and I love those lovely earthy drips.... ok, now off to those bottles! xxx Lynn
