Rusty Deconstruction

Hello all... See, I told you it was Sneak Peek City here at the moment.  Having sent you off to Destination Inspiration at A Vintage Journey, then to take a Peek in the Garden at The Artistic Stamper, I'm now hoping to tempt you over to witness a bit of Rusty Deconstruction over at PaperArtsy today!

 I understood the Deconstruction theme as an invitation to take objects and alter them, subjecting them to decay, and I took my cue from Leandra's thought about destruction and rusting.  So my old book has been being eaten away from the inside, cracking apart, allowing rusty flowers (made of real rust!) to burst out from its insides...

    This is such an intriguing way to use rust and you really capture the imagination with the idea of the book decaying from within and these rusty blooms bursting through. Great stuff! xx

    I like this a lot, i might have to get me some of that rusting powder although my sensitive olfactory system is objecting just at the thought lol.

    Oh WOW, Alison! LOVE how you used the Rusting Powder to 'rust emboss' the images!! My heart was in my throat, too! I'd be worried about how the vinegar would react to the paint, but it all worked out didn't it!!
