Because the old Calico website closed down, you can see more of this project here.
Hello all! Thanks for the lovely comments on my Busy Busy Bee. I've definitely been a busy bee again this week, travelling all over for work. Then I spent much of Friday at the US Embassy, and it looks as though we're good to go with the work visa (as long as the courier gets my passport back to me in time to fly... still touching wood!). Now I'm actually at home for just over 48 hours before I rampage off up and down the country again. I fully intend to spend some of those hours doing some catching up with you all!
In the meantime, you can relax with some beachcombing over at Calico Crafts today. I've been playing with the fab new Calico Craft Parts Printers Trays again, as well as lots of paint, crackle mediums and lovely sun-bleached bits and bobs, as well as a quote from one of my favourite poems (see below!).
I hope you'll have time to pop over and check it out. And I hope you all have a really wonderful weekend!
maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach(to play one day)
and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn’t remember her troubles,and
milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;
and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and
may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.
For whatever we lose(like a you or a me)
it’s always ourselves we find in the sea
Just hopped across from leaving a comment and to say the poem is delightful. Fab creation! Ruth x

ReplyDeleteThis project is magical, Alison! I love the bottle and the crab! That poem is beautiful. I shared it with Lynne Moncrieff the other day!
