No more flowers...

Not here at Words and Pictures, anyway... You'll have to hop over to The Artistic Stamper to see them, and even there, the flowers are in pretty short supply.

You'll see why... this sneak peek is here to tempt you over to a creation inspired by the song You Don't Bring Me Flowers - so, like I say, ain't no flowers round here today!

Hope you enjoy it...

In sympathy with the sentiment of the song, you may be wondering where I've disappeared to.  I'm finding it tricky to get out and about in Craftyblogland at the moment - but I will be back!!

Thank you so much for all your lovely visits and comments in the meantime... they make me so happy.  I'm looking forward to being able to return the compliment soon.

If you come at four in the afternoon, I'll begin to be happy by three.

  7. Had a peek and clever you with the beeswax Alison. She really looks like one unhappy lady with no one bringing her flowers. Fabulous.

Loved these silicone molds when I first saw them on C & C a while ago but haven't been able to buy. So excited that Artistic stamper had them in but alas the one I want is out of stock - boo hoo. Ah well always Ally Pally.

Warm crafty hugs from Shirl x x

  15. What beautiful projects you´ve made the last time! I had only time to take a short look in here, because I'm stuck in the middle of renovations. The flowerpot and the tiny roses are soooo cute! Of course the rest too :)

  17. Alison...your wall hanging is very cool! All of the distressing and layering of texture and stamped words and images looks amazing. Those little beeswax pots are very cool and I love how you finished the one out that you added to your hanging. Gorgeous little flowers, too. X, Candy

  21. It's a wonderful hanging! There is so much fabulous distressing on the piece. You definitely captured the feel of despair but with a bit of hope in that one pristine white flower.

  27. Went by Artistic Stamper to see the details on this amazing project. Love every part! The ivy found such a great home on this wall hanging. I just can't get over how much the dabs crackle paint adds to the overall feel of this piece. You made me laugh out loud with your description of being impatient with clay. I can just see you with your bees wax :) That urn turned out amazing and you really did a great job finding flowers to fit it. great scale. Such an amazing work (even if I have to go around hearing Barbara Streisand in my head all day :) ) Hugs to you my creative friend!! -- Mary Elizabeth
