Christmas-ish

Hello all... I'm back with the first of my final trio of projects for PaperArtsy.  So, it's sneak peek time here again at Words and Pictures.  There'll be one tonight, one tomorrow and one on Tuesday, and then it's all over... apart from seeing what you're inspired to make as a result, of course!

I can't believe how fast the time has flown - four months gone in a flash.  And I'm deeply sensible of your fabulous support in leaving comments either here or over at PaperArtsy itself - and in many cases both! - during that time.  Thank you so much.

So, here's the first of three Christmasish projects.  At least, the final one on Tuesday is a full-on Christmas number, but the first couple are certainly heading that way.

If you've time to hop over and check out this trio (yes, the first project is a trio in itself), that would be lovely, and I hope to see you again pretty much this time tomorrow!

Look at how a single candle can both defy and define the darkness.

  3. Wow! These are really fabulous! I love the candles, but I am in AWE of the candle holders themselves. As I was reading through your post I saw the black fresco added and thought to myself, "Now how is THAT going to work?" and then TADA! It did! It was like watching a magic show. Beautiful pieces, Alison!

  10. How do you think of all these things? I'm amazed. Love the stamp you used, don't think it's available over here. These holders and candles look beautiful. Never heard of the Liquid Leaf before, wonder if Viva Decor products are similar. Anyway, just stunning, and something out of nothing.

  11. Hi Marci!
Yes, the Liquid Leaf is amazing - you literally paint it on - it's like a very thick, smooth paint, but with a glorious metallic sheen (and a strong smell!). I don't know if Viva Decor do a similar thing - but I know they do have loads of great metallic products.

Thanks for your lovely comment. (Just because there's no other way to thank Marci - the rest of you know I'll be round to visit soon!)

And I'm perfectly happy to answer here, but if it's easier for you rather than checking back for answers, then do, by all means ask questions via my email contact - you can click underneath my profile in the sidebar.

  30. Wow wow the post over at paperartsy is awesome, such wonderful array of beautiful lighting, this would look so good outside at night. I also love the candle, I might have a go, it's years since I had a go, I only got one good image at the time which I was giving as a gift. I put it on my mantal to see how it looked then completely forgot about it and put the fire on, hmmmmm let's just say the image didn't look as lovely after lol. I guess now I should be a little bit better at doing it lol. Hugs :-) Kezzy xxx
