Journalling again...
Hello all, lovely to have you stop by. Short and sweet here at Words and Pictures... just to let you know I'm over at The Artistic Stamper today with some journalling pages.
And these pages are a change to something different - at least, it seems that way to me - and I'm not very sure about the end result. Maybe you'll recognise it instantly as a "butterfly" make... it would be interesting to know!
Anyway, it would be lovely if you had a moment to hop over to The Artistic Stamper to have a look. I do value your comments and feedback so much.
Hope you all have a great week, craftily and otherwise. Oh, and watch out for a post that you won't want to miss later in the week!
Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.

Great layering and fab texture x trace xnhugs x
ReplyDeleteThought I'd leave a more personal comment on here than on AS. This is beautiful, Alison. It may be a bit different to your usual style but I'm sure that was very satisfying. I love how you have used the figures. The sentiment made me cry as it's very poignant for me right now although I would need two 'brother' figures. Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog,
ReplyDeleteLucy x
The processes and colours are definitely you Alison, these are fabulous journal pages that have that Butterfly feel to them. I love the ethereal path the children are following and all the wonderful textures you have included.

I am off to have a closer look on AS Alison, but my initial thoughts are that there are clear hint of you in the colours and textures.

Beautiful pages Alison, I've seen the on the AS blog and the way you used the new stamps in your layering is superb. The stencil work is wonderful too and such a great subject for an AJ layout. Hugs, Chris x
ReplyDeleteI think it's definitely you - the colours, the layering, the attention to detail and the thought that went into it. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Alison, I said over there that it was a little different for you, but the colours are very you, the texture is very you so it is not really different at all! It's gorgeous. Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteThis one made me cry.....
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing quote.

Just left you a long comment over at AS.What I forgot to say is that I love the quote too. Being an only child my brothers and sisters have always been non blood related, but the thought behind the quote is just as true for that..... A stunning spread on all levels!
ReplyDeleteHave just been over at AS and left comments. Its a fab piece. Hugs Annette x
ReplyDeleteI popped across and took a look and I think the piece is wonderful. It has your dreamy style and colour pallette and I like what you did with the texture paste, very nice. I like that zig zag too, the way it pops out and fades away. You are clever!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Alison! One can dream about a story, watching this!
ReplyDeletekind regards, Alie :-)
This is a dreamy look and no, I would not have recognized this as one of your makes. The more I looked at it, I thought of THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE. Your creation has a mystical essence about two children walking off into the mist. Love the colors. Now off the the Artistic Stamper to read a little more.

I think I love everything that you've done. It's just hard to decide which I like the best. haha These pages are lovely. I love the gorgeous colors of the background and all of the subtle pattern you've achieved. Those silhouettes of the boy and girl are amazing. Love them... <3 Candy
ReplyDeletethis has such depth and really speaks to me....
ReplyDeleteHi Alison just popped over toAS for a closer look. The pages are gorgeous an I think they are very 'you' not only in the colours and techniques but also in the message. I feel a kind of saddness there with the ghostly image of the children towards the top of the page. Quite powerful imagery, I do admire the way you convey emotion in your work, have a good week
