WOYWW 176

Hello everybody!  Happy Wednesday to you... it's time to bloghop round the craft desks of the world again, courtesy of our hostess Julia Dunnit at the Stamping Ground.  Yes, do share with us What's On Your Workdesk this Wednesday.  Thanks to a sleepless night, I think I might find myself in the top 40 for the first time ever - yup, posting at 4.30am!!

A quick panorama of my work table, which frankly hasn't changed a great deal since last time... apart from having had a slight clear up of the stamps and inks which were scattered in profusion.  The pile of paper scraps on the right is ever-increasing!

There's one stamp set still there (disguising work in progress) and it gives a clue to what you'll find if you visit my second post of today.

But I thought I'd also show you a quick shot of where my Big Shot lives.  My room's in an attic conversion, and over the stairwell I've got a huge sheet of plywood, painted white, which has always held some of my decorative candle holders, jewellery and so on.

Five months into my crafting adventures, it's rapidly being taken over by stash and mess... as is the floor area just next to it...

...but what's a bit of mess when you're having fun?!

Hope you have lots of crafty and hopping fun today...  I've ended up with another double Wednesday posting, so if you're interested you could hop here first, and have a look what I've been up to in all these work spaces.

Looking forward to visiting you all soon...

Here's another fine mess you've gotten me into.

  3. Spooky - I was up at 4.30am too and the page I got then for you was the second post and not the WOYWW desk - now that IS spooky! Great crafty space and floor - oh snap on the blue mat too. Like your tag too btw, especially the Julia-esque parts, I'm lucky enough to have seen her work in the flesh as I live nearby. Thanks for stopping by BJ #30

  9. Crafters will always spread all over the space given and then some, welcome to the club! You have some interesting books on that shelf, I love browsing book titles when I see a bookshelf in a photo!! I also saw the tag you posted today, she's lovely, hope her fate doesn't befall her!!

  10. We never realised there were two 4.30s in a day. Bears are very lazy creatures!

Love your stamps, and what you've created with them too.

Love from the (lazy) bears @#105 this week

  11. Bet it's been a hive of activity and we are getting to see the calm after the storm:) Loving that you appear to have a tree in your craftroom (behind the jewellery stand). I can guarantee the piles of leftover bits will multiple by themselves as the months progress - no solution found for this (other than the dreaded bin) I'm afraid. Off to see your other post. Happy WOYWW, hugs Buttons #119

  21. I think you papercrafters can still work in a mess of scraps whereas I need my desk for cutting out fabrics, so it has to stay relatively clear!
I like the hanger your jewellery is one and that 'tree' in the background is just what I need for my beady makes on my craft stall!

  22. Your craft space is interesting. I love messy. I am always more inspired working in a mess as I see lots of things to hand and I try this and that.

Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting.

  23. If your scraps are multiplying, then you might like to join in with Pixie's Crafty Snippets each week at http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.co.uk/ The only requirement is to make things from snippets and leftovers. We have loads of fun in the playground each week. Thank you for your visit and your kind comments, which were much appreciated. have a good week. xx Maggie #65

  24. I think of mess as a creative force. Sometimes I see two things next to each other and get a brilliant idea, but I'd never have thought to put them together myself. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Thank you for stopping by - I'll write a post about my home made light box this weekend.

    cheers, rachel #64

  25. My eyes don't know where to rest next, there is so much to see here! I'm especially dying to move this and look behind that in your under-the-stair nook area ...

Thanks for coming by to visit me already, Alison! I hope you have a great week! I'm still WOYWWing my way around ... Darnell #35

  26. A crafty mind needs lots of space! When Hubby asks me how much more of our loft, which was to be half my craft space and half the book storage space, I say "all of it"! I bet even if I do eventually get all of the books out I will still have stuff on the floor and spilling into the spare room! You do create some stunning stuff though!

  27. So many fun things in your room to check out. I love how you had this large piece of plywood just sitting there and now it is covered with creative goodies. No flat space is safe in my house either, and that includes the floor! Maybe I should say especially the floor! Things don't tend to fall off the floor. That's my excuse.

Thank you for the kitty condolences.

  28. Sorry to be so late getting round again. I had a very busy end to the week and am only just catching up with myself.

Well, you’ve certainly got a nice little collection together in five months Alison and if you have the loft space to yourself you’ll have plenty of room when you need to expand, which I can assure you you’ll need, Lol!
Can’t say I’m really into Halloween but the stamps you’re using look fun and I can’t wait to see what you’re doing with them.

Thanks for stopping by this week.

    Happy Crafting!
