WOYWW 169

Oh boy, Wednesday it is then... so soon already?!  What's On Your Workdesk this Wednesday?  Well, here's what's on mine, and if you want to peek at what's on hundreds of other crafty workdesks this Wednesday, hop over to the Stamping Ground where you'll find Julia Dunnit's huge and brilliant linky list - and you can join in too!

Bits and pieces really... practice cards part way through some of the amazing Timeworn Techniques I'm learning on the Andy Skinner online course; gorgeous wax paper from a loaf of bread which I have an idea about for the Recycling challenge over at Our Creative Corner... not sure if there's going to be time though.

Whole pile of leftover paper scraps shoved to the right, and discarded acetate that I failed to create with successfully to the left, in case inspiration should re-strike.  In the back right corner is my Life is Good tag, trying to provide that inspiration...

On the left are the Darkroom Door metal boxes of the Prague stamps used for my Postcard from Prague.  They haven't really got a home yet, so still sitting there - but also partly because I think the boxes are sooo beautiful, so I like having them there at the moment!

Just got the tiny skull and bats as extras in a package from the Funkie Junkie Boutique, and they're hovering to see if I want to rust'em up or use one of the other Timeworn techniques on them...

And then there's what lies beneath...

Hmm... gathering crumpled tissue paper just above the radiator - fine for the moment, but need to sort it out before the radiator needs switching on!

Thanks for stopping by, and if you're in today's fabulous nosy-parkers' bloghop, I'll hope to catch up with you before next WOYWW!!

Creative minds are rarely tidy.

  1. Really love your DD stamps, I have the London set and adore the tin box too. It is lovely the way Funkie Junkie put little treasures in their packages. The top of your workspace looks great and very tidy, the underneath - looks just like mine! Happy WOYWW, Anne x #32

  4. Hi Alison - well! Two lovely desk shots on that gorgeous mushroom background that you have on your blog with the lovely aqua writing on and then ... the underneath shot.
Did make me smile - glad to see you have a cluttered area in the craftroom. Where do you put your legs?
Off for another wander on your blog - love the Prague things.
    Hugs, neet xx

  5. Great craft space Alison. I did smile to myself when I saw your tissue paper under the desk. I do that pile things under the desk and then keep saying I need to sort that out. I go around in circles, piling stuff under the desk then reorganising and then cluttering it up again lol. Tracy x x

  9. I love the space you have to create and that cute little radiator, can I borrow it today as it is pretty cold up here!
I know what you mean about the DD tins, in fact in an ideal world I'd want all my supplies out on display for inspiration - oh perchance to dream lol.

Now, thanks for stopping by my spot, and no, not a cat, but my husky puppy, (well, she's 3) who is shedding her coat now...right before winter! (I'm saving it for a friend who want to spin it...)

  30. Hi, Alison, I can see why you like having the Prague tins on the table -- the "package" is almost like a decor item when they make it so nice. The waxed paper looks intriguing, almost like the Tim Holtz glassine paper. Will be interested to see what your imagination comes up with. Happy Wednesday and thanks for visiting my blog. ~ Laura #122

Your desk looks like you have plenty of space to craft on, how nice! But where do your legs go?! lol I'm thinking you could use some of the 3 drawer carts like I have under my desk, ooh they are so handy. They have pretty big and deep drawers, you can really pack the stuff in there, I'm telling you! :)
